New files not going to cache drive

I think it was "minimum free space" according to the logs. Which was weird because it was showing as 55 GB under "Main" but once I reduced it files seemed to go there again.

Also make sure cache floor is correctly set.

If you don't specify units when setting Minimum, it defaults to KB.

I was specifying units correctly. I believe it converts to a raw value in KB anyway.

It is Minimum Free for cache. I think this is in Global Share Settings for versions before 6.9 beta25 and multiple cache pools but is on the settings for each pool since 6.9 beta25

I haven't changed it so it's at default which I believe is 2MB. How do I get this value from the terminal (I am unable to stop the array at the moment)?

cat /boot/config/share.cfg | grep shareCacheFloor

Yep it was at "2000000" i.e. 2 MB.

 

I'm starting to think the issue was just that the "Main" page was reporting a very stale figure for the current free space.
