October 26, 20205 yr Hello, I have a HP N36L running DSM 5 with mixed disks: 2x 6TB, 1x 3TB and 1x 2TB. I also have a spare HP ML10v2 where UNRAID will be installed, the plan is to then migrate the DSM data there. I also bought a 10TB to facilitate the migration and add to the new pool. I need some help feedback on the migration, my plan is. 1. Install UNRAID on ML10v2 2. Copy the 10TB of DSM data to the 10TB disk via USB 3. Move the DSM disks to the ML10v2 UNRAID server 4. Format them, setup an array 5. Copy the 10TB USB disk data to the new UNRAID array 6. Disconnect the parity drive (the 6TB) and add the 10TB disk which was used to transfer 7. Format the the 10TB disk and promote to parity 8. Re-add the disconnected 6TB disk and add to pool What are your thoughts on this method, is there a better/more efficient way to do it? Thanks
