OpenMptcpRouter in vm ?

Featured Replies

hello to all
I have many questions

the first, What do you know about "openmptcprouter.com" => https://www.openmptcprouter.com/

the second, Do you think that like pfSense it is possible to run openmptcprouter.com on a vm?

I hope I posted in the right place

Thank you, Guys

RE #1: nothing specific, but I did a similar functional setup years ago with my two WANs and a set of two mikrotik CHRs as an unRAID VM and on a VPS, linking them with GRE-Tunnels. So that concept is not new, only a pre-packaged, public solution did not exist until now.

RE #2: no reason why it shouldn't be possible, if you can passthrough 3 NICs to your VM.

Based on https://github.com/Ysurac/openmptcprouter/wiki/Router-install#for-x86-and-x86_64 , creating the image/vdisk is easy.

Edit: if you can pass a set of 2x3 NICs, you could simulate the VPS-Side as well ;-)
