smurfy214
Good Afternoon Everyone, I have noticed that my Read Speeds have been about half the speed as my writes. I did not setup ssd cache yet as an fyi. My write speeds are over 100MB/s and but read speeds when copying a file from unraid are between 40-65MB/s. Speed test from the server look good and from the desktop that I have the drive mapped my read and write speeds to my synology nas are over 100MB/s. I am a bit new to unraid so I was not sure if it was a setting I am missing. I am running unraid 6.8.3. Thanks in advance for any advice. Let me know if you need anymore screenshots or info. trurl
You shouldn't be using a RAID controller. That can cause a number of problems though that may have nothing to do with the speed you see. Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread. Quote Link to comment
smurfy214
Attached! Ill have to look and see if I can add the drives without using the raid controller. The only way I could get unraid to see the drives is using the raid controller when I first set it up. Ill have to do some searching on dells site. thistledown-diagnostics-20201028-1836.zip Edited October 29, 2020 by smurfy214 Quote Link to comment
j44rs4
You could flash your raidcontroller to IT mode, but make sure you have a backup of your files before you do that. https://fohdeesha.com/docs/perc/ Quote Link to comment
