November 8, 20205 yr Author I don't know if any working multi-bay solution exists. But multi-bay is not recommended at all as sharing one serial port (USB is serial) is bad for parallel access (like parity writes or parity check). It would be the same than connecting 5 HDDs to one SATA port (but with additional USB overhead). I guess a parity check would run with <30 MB/s.
