GIGABYTE GA-7PESH4 - VM help

Featured Replies

Anyone else have a build with a GIGABYTE GA-7PESH4 and have HVM enabled?

Since I have been running Unraid, about a year now, it has reported that HVM was disabled, checked my motherboard settings up and down and there is nothing for enabling or disabling Intel VT-x. Recently reached out to GIGABYTE support and they said that this is supported and didn't point to any specific settings to enable it, but that it should work with a processor that supports it. I have dual Intel Xeon CPU E5-2650L , which should allow for this, again, the HVM status is disabled. IOMMU has always showed as enabled. Anyone else dealt with this? Any suggestions to try and get this enabled would be greatly appreciated? Please let me know if any other information would help.

Somewhat a niche board you have there.

I had a look at the manual out of interest so just offering a second set of eyes.

I assume you have enabled VT-d in

And enabled virtualisation here

I was going to suggest trying an earlier BIOS as they sometimes break support, however looks like there are only two versions.

Good luck

Thanks for taking a look, I appreciate it. Yeah, have all that enabled. Have combed through the bios settings and changed them in multiple ways with no luck unfortunately.
