January 25, 201115 yr Hi, Running 4.7b1 Happened when I was copying files, suddenly the parity disk was disabled due to write errors. The disk is a WD20EARS. Once I rebooted unraid shows it as new parity disk installed. Not sure what to do from here. Syslog attached. January 26, 201115 yr Howdy, I think the parity drive is probably OK. The syslog showed that it suddenly stopped communicating completely, even the SATA link was gone. It is just as if the drive lost power. I would check the power connections to the drive for something loose, especially if any power splitters were used. If a drive suddenly disappears like that, it either has completely failed, or is completely fine once the connection is restored. Since you are rebuilding it, it obviously did not fail. A SMART report could also be reassuring.
