Mysticle31
So files that are saved via a docker app (Brave, Firefox..etc) that are saved to a share are saved with invalid permissions. I can't write to the folder from my NTFS share. This isn't an NTFS share issue. To fix I have to chmod 777 the share folder in unraid and then the files are writable. I remember there was a set of directions how to fix this...dont remember where and never wrote it down. How can I have dockers save new files to the share with read/write by everyone? CorvusCorax
I have exactly the same issue. Did you find a solution to this problem? And how to fix permissions on files created by docker containers retroactively? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Squid
Really depends upon the container. Many containers you can set the PGID/PUID appropriately. Others have options within them to set the permissions on the files they they write to the shares. To fix, you run the New Permissions Tool against the share 1 Quote Link to comment
CorvusCorax
Thanks, Squid! Yeah, I've read that New Permissions tool is the solution for my issue. Ran it and after 5mins it's been fixed! To fix the issue with the files created by docker containers like Radarr, Sonarr and Bazarr, in the settings of those containers set these permissions: CHMOD for files 0666 CHMOD for folders 0777 And set those permissions. I hope that this helps somebody with the same issue. Edited February 15, 2021 by CorvusCorax 1 Quote Link to comment
