November 5, 20205 yr I trying to enable GPU pass through to my VM. I am unable to enable IOMMU. Is this a config issue or is due to the motherboard? Here my system info from GUI: M/B: X79 Version To be filled by O.E.M. - s/n: To be filled by O.E.M. BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. Version 4.6.5. Dated: 06/10/2019 CPU: Intel® Xeon® CPU E5-2650 v2 @ 2.60GHz HVM: Enabled IOMMU: Disabled From command line: root@Tower:~# dmesg | grep -ie iommu [ 14.443752] AMD IOMMUv2 driver by Joerg Roedel <[email protected]> [ 14.443940] AMD IOMMUv2 functionality not available on this system I didn't see anything in BIOS that had anything to do with IOMMU. I've made sure that Intel Virtualization (VT-d) is enable. Does this motherboard x79 support IOMMU or is there BIOS that I may have missed? Attached is my hardware profile. Thanks NV - I have found the answer: In AMI Bios go to 'Chipset' ->North Bridge->'Intel (R) VT for Directed I/O Configuration'->Intel(R) VT-d (enable) hardware_profile_x79.xml Edited November 5, 20205 yr by [email protected] Solved
