Firstly I apologise if the following question is a little dumb - new to servers and unraid so learning as I go 

 

I have added an MD1000 to my home set up and as expected the drives are unassigned - however, the status of the drives fall into two groups

 

The first group have a grey format button that can't be pressed - I resolved this one by changing settings to destructive - one sorted 

 

The other is just one drive formatted in xfs and has the mount button as the other did but it fails to mount - how do I go about resolving this ?

I would suggest that you post your systems diagnostics zip file (obtained via Tools -> Diagnostics) so we can see both what your setup is and what happens when you try and mount the problem drive (mention which one it is to help with looking through the logs).
