OsoSuerte
I only recently read that you shouldn't but I don't want to change anything until I get the issue resolved. It was all working before I updated to the current version but I updated from 6.0.1 Edited November 15, 2020 by OsoSuerte Quote Link to comment

Got everything resolved and wanted to share the results in case anyone else ran into similar issues. Short answer: Set up a back up power supply (battery back up surge protector.) Long answer: If you look through this thread you will see that I was having a lot of issues with connection to HDDs. I tried swapping sata cables power supplies and drives. Every time I seemed to get one connection to work it was like another one would go offline. Turl (Thanks for your help) kept going back to thinking there was a problem with the power connections. This got me thinking about power in general. I recently moved from a newly built house to a 60 year old house. I started noticing electric issues throughout the house. The power is inconsistent. Through some testing I learned the outlet I am using has some severe dips in power output. I don't think the power supply in my server was getting enough juice from the wall to keep everything powered up. This led to intermittent power issues and and an inability to consistently connect to all the drives. I purchased and set up a surge protector that has an in incorporated power bank. It basically regulates the power output. It protects from surges but also provides power from the battery back up if the juice from the wall dips. I can not honestly say my logic is correct but since I installed the power back up I have had zero issues. Hope this may help others in the future. Not sure if it matters, but the system has always had a battery back up in the past but when I reclaimed it a few weeks ago I was not able to get the back up. Good luck and thanks again to turl for all the help Quote Link to comment
