Trick
Hi! I am trying to get a virtual machine up and running on my unraid server and get it working through an old graphics card of mine. I have enabled intel virtualization technology however it still says that iommu is disabled in unraid. I was wondering if these two are different or that something else needs to be adjusted? My specs are: CPU: i7 - 4770k GPU: GTX 750 MOBO: gigabyte B85M-D3H I can't actually find anything about compatibility of the motherboard with iommu but I thought that since I can enable intel virtualization technology it should work? Thank! Quote Link to comment
Squid
Quote Intel® Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VT-d) ‡No Your CPU doesn't support VT-d (IOMMU). You can still use VMs, but you cannot passthrough any device (video card, etc) Quote Link to comment

For reasons known only to Intel, the K version has it disabled, however the i7 - 4770 has it enabled. As overclocking it not recommended, you may be able to trade for a non K version for little outlay. Quote Link to comment
