November 16, 20205 yr Hey, So yesterday got a read/write error flagging in the system, and after some searching it seems it would be good to replace the flash drive. When trying to initiate the "Flash Backup" action, it just hangs on 'Please wait... creating Flash backup zip file (this may take several minutes)' I disabled the Windows VM it was running, cancelled the Parity Scan, and seems to be plenty of RAM free, so no idea why it just hangs. Any suggestions? media-diagnostics-20201116-0931.zip
November 16, 20205 yr Looks like flash is read-only. Probably you can fix it instead of replacing it. Shut down, put it in your PC, let it checkdisk. While there make a backup. You really only need the config folder to get going again with your configuration on a new install if that becomes necessary.
November 16, 20205 yr Author Thanks for the reply. So tried performing a chkdsk and won't allow me as it claims to be write protected... I actually have a replacement USB drive following SpaceinvaderOne's review on different drives but could never backup the USB so never swapped it.. Anything else I can try?
