Replacing Cache disk in a RAID 1 Cache pool

Featured Replies

I've done some searching but couldn't see any posts matching what I'm trying to do.

I have 2 x 500GB SSDs in a RAID 1 cache pool however one of my SSDs is failing so I've received my replacement today however looking through the unRAID manual it looks like I might have to move all my app data and VMs over to the array first and then add the cache drive (exactly the same as when I created the cache pool from a single cache drive).

Can someone confirm that this is the case as I though being in RAID 1 I could just switch the drives straight over with no issues as everything is mirrored to the second cache drive I have.

Many of our subforums have "pinned" topics so they will stay near the top of that subforum and be easier to find. And of course they are "pinned" because they have useful content.
