horribly slow network tansfer speed

Featured Replies

I am getting 2.4 mb/s transfer speeds from my main tower to my unraid server over the network. I have tried changing ports on my router, changed out my cables to cat 6, fix common problems does not come up with anything being wrong, I have turbo write enabled, ssd tim and checked over my settings and everything seems correct I am at a loss and very new to unraid. would getting 2 x 10 g nics solve my problem? or do you think there is something else going on. I am transferring from a Samsung 970 evo m.2 on my main tower to a cache pool of 2 x  970 evo m.2's on my unraid. any help or advise would be much appreciated thank you

I could not spot anything that was obviously wrong in the diagnostics.    Whatever is wrong you should not be network limited - even standard gigabit Ethernet should give over 100MBps throughput.

thank you that is what I thought as well. is there anyway to test  that network connection or anything else to trouble shoot it before I just by more hardware like the 2 x 10 g  network cards?  I'm concerned that there is something else going on and don't want to waste the money on more hardware if there is something else going on and that will not fix my problem

ive ran iperf as well and still shows 5.5 Mb/s between my main tower and my server

Can you try between different endpoints, not just unraid? It would be helpful to know if you get full speed on any link.
