What keeps the log from filling RAM?

Won't the syslog eventually fill the RAM disk? Does it ever get trimmed? What is the longest uptime? Why are we here?

    It gets rotated with logrotate but within one day it is entirely possible for logs to fill ram. Its a potential bug but a very rare one that requires somehting to go logging crazy.

     

    There are proposals to deal with this in place
