Access docker containers by hostname from host

Hi All,

 

I have taken the plunge and forced myself to do unraid and have the steep learning curve and i am trying not to quit!

 

I can ping all my docker containers from the host by IP but not by name or hostname. what am i doing wrong 😞

 

This is in bridged mode as well with a public internet IP and then 172.17.0 internal. but pinging by ip works fine
