November 27, 20205 yr Hi, I am currently trying out Unraid but cannot get VLANs to work. My setup: 2 NIC machine. eth0 goes into a managed switch, configured as a trunk port (pvid 50). The other NIC - eth1 - goes into an unmanaged switch which ultimately connects to the managed switch on an access port (vlan 50). The NIC that's plugged into the trunk port has bridge enabled (br0), and a number of VLANs configured. The machine has 2 IP addresses, both on the .50 VLAN as expected. Now, if I create a VM and give it br0.X for network it cannot reach anything on the network, and so doesn't get an IP address. If I instead attach br0 or br1 it does get an IP address, but obviously only on the .50 VLAN. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance
November 28, 20205 yr Author My ESXi server works fine so I know that the rest of my network setup is correct. Having spent several days trying to make this work... I am conceding defeat and will switch back to proxmox. Maybe I'll try unraid out again in the future when I have time to lose
