Unable to install AMD GPU Drivers in Windows guest VM

Featured Replies

I am able to boot correctly in Win10 but when I try to install the latest AMD GPU drivers, I am getting the attached error message.

Previous AMD drivers were never installed on this VM, it's a fresh install. I tried for the sake of it to do this:

But I am still getting this error. Any idea?

I realized that I had 2 things wrong.

1. I was passing a vbios ROM to the VM while it was unnecessary. It prevented the driver from correctly installing and kept it @ 800x600

2. Even though I removed the vbios, the newest version of AMD Adrenaline drivers would still not install. I had to use a slightly older version (in this case, 2019-19.10.1 - Oct 17) and it installed fine.
