I have been looking at 4U cases and wanting some recommendations.  I would like to be able to use my own MB/CPU.  Just looking to see if anybody has any good recommendations of cases.  Front or Top load is ok.

The Supermicro 846 is the gold standard if you can find a barebones one right now. More specifically one with a SAS2 backplane and 2 x PWS-920P-SQ. They were running about $300-$400 at the start of the year but have become very rare and expensive. I always keep a lookout on eBay or Craigslist for one. My 836 is great but I’d like the ability to add more than 16 drives.
