No ISO files will mount to start VM installation process

Featured Replies

I have tried installing several different virtual machines - POP OS, Windows 10, Windows 10 Ameliorated, Lubuntu, Fedora, and none of the ISOs will mount when I first start the Virtual Machine.  When i go into the VNC screen I get the following:

Booting from Hard Disk...

Boot failed: not a bootable disk

Booting from DVD/CD...

Boot failed: Could not read from CD-ROM (code 004)

No bootable device.

I have not got this to work with any virtual disk (I was able to boot a VM from a physical drive where the OS already exists - well sort of .... but that is another issue) so I assume not all these ISOs are bad.  Using SeaBIOS (OVF just takes me to a command prompt I cannot seem to do anything with) and I have tried a bunch of different machines, all the different choices for ISO interface (IDE, SATA, SCSI, etc.), 1 cpu or multiple cpus, using VNC or trying to pass through a second graphics card and USB controller, all 3 of the USB controller settings.  So very puzzled what is going on.  HVM and IOMMU are both showing enabled in info.  My motherboard is a ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. ROG CROSSHAIR VIII HERO (WI-FI) Version Rev X.0x with a Ryzen 3950 and 128 GB of team force RAM.  BIOS American Megatrends Inc. Version 1302. Dated: 01/20/2020.

The ISOs are in share (named isos) on a 4 disk encrypted BTRFS 12 TB array (3 data/1 parity no cache drive ... yet - I have ordered some mew SSDs on the way; my existing SSD has another OS on it).  The iso folder is public and Export is yes.  I have 2 graphics cards.  The first one is a GeForce GT 710 and the second is a Radeon RX580 which I plan on passing through once I get some of these VMs working.

I am guessing this might be some obscure BIOS setting because I have tried about every option within Unraid I can think of.syslinux_linux

I have attached the diagnostics file.
