FYI: I started having permission issues after upgrading to Unraid 6.11.

 

sudo chown -R nobody:users /mnt/user/<output directory>

 

I solved it by running the above command. Change the <output directory> to your own /output/ directory.

So if I am understanding right, I should instead utilize Wireguard for this purpose and My Servers doesn't support this. One question arises then, will I be able to install and set up wireguard without local network access?

Trying to install and setup a docker remotely and I need to access its webGUI. This doesn't seem to work through My Servers with multiple Dockers I tried. Is this at all possible? If not, is there any way of accessing a docker's webGUI remotely?

[Windows issues with unRAID]

So I guess I have to ask for help here. I am having the infamous not being able to write to private share issue. I can access all of the shares just fine but I can't write to private shares. I can write to public shares.

 

What I tried so far:

• I have matched the username and passwords between windows 10 and unraid.
• tried the use net * /delete command
• restarted win machine couple of times
• installed the loclal master plugin and made sure the unraid server is the local master
• removed all credentials from win10
• restarted win machine again

I can write to private shares from macOS without any issues.

Hello everyone, I am running the trial version of Unraid and I am pretty much decided on switching to Unraid. I have two problems that I need to solve before the switch:

 

1) I want to download from mega to a public share utilizing the megasync app on windows 10. I used to do this on my Debian server without any problems. I simply choose the mapped network drive as destination on windows and mega client downloads to there. This is hit and miss with Unraid shares for some reason. It worked yesterday but not now. What would be the reason for it? Mega simply tells me it failed downloading. 

 

2) Another problem I seem to experience is I can't copy files from Windows 10 to a private share, I am already logged in with true credentials and the user has write/read access. 

 

How I added the drives to windows 10:

I added the drives by selecting the "map network drive" option on windows. I used \\tower.local\sharename as the address and an account with read/write credentials. I can read from all of them without any issues but I can only write to public shares. 

 

Any help and advice is welcome.
