  1. So general question, I have ryzen 1600, and 1050ti, I pinned to half the cores so that I can still use plex and server, how many workers should I allow it to do, I’m ok with it using all the gpu as needed. I noticed that at 12 workers it’s slows down to crazy slow speeds. I know that once it completes everything it won’t matter but trying to get threw entire library is taking forever...been running since the 11th and I have about 10tb of video

  2. I don't do it myself but I'm fairly sure what your doing with the GPU is passing it though to a docker so if its in plex nothing else can use it.

I might be way off base though.

I set it up to use gpu and it currently is working, could be I have a 1050ti and am only using 2 streams so it’s not maxing the card but it is using gpu along side plex at this point

  3. The same errors still exists in the log.
Have you tested if the card really works? Attached a monitor to it, tried installing windows or using it in a VM?
It might also be incompatability between your motherboard and the m2000.

So upon further checks quadro series is not compatible with msi gaming so.. may be getting 1050ti, similar spectacle. Thank you everybody

This is probably your issue. Why it's happening I don't know, but it might have to do with virtualisation. If you don't use VM's, try turning off AMD-vi in the bios. Might be called iommu also.

turned off iommu, and svm, results are....nothing...attached are new diagnostics..i didnt see that warning in the logs..but still not showing on nvidia plugin

  5. Which unrad version are you running?
If you are running the 6.9 beta, try using 6.8.3 if you haven't tested it. If that doesn't work. I don't know what the issue is.

I’ve tried both version.. may give up, sell the m2000 and get gtx, m2000 is a strong card :/

What does nvidia-smi show if you run that command from command line? Without the 660 in the computer.

only card is the m2000 right for all this

The driver is loaded now. Have you tried to remove the othe Nvidia are physically and see if hardware transcoding works in Plex and if it shows up in the plugin? You can probably achieve the same using all instead of the UUID in the variable.

when i set it to all it only gets to 3 transcodes before using the cpu, m2000 can handle way more than that..the 660 not so much...

and removed 660 from system and m2000 still does not show up under nvidia

  9. What did you download?

    Kernel driver in use: vfio
The above means that the device have loaded the dummy driver. This prevents the nvidia driver to be loaded. If you don't use any VM's, the vfio module is not loaded. So there is something you have done.
Post the syslinux.cfg file (You can find it when you click the Flash on the Main page), vfio-pci.cfg (In /boot/config/).

You have done something to stub the card. Either by editing the syslinux.cfg or using the vfio plugin. You said in an earlier post that you put it in vfio, so reverse what you did.

image.thumb.png.c23d2f3e0ac9ab2048ecaa6f89f38447.pngnothing is set, i only downloaded it to try it. but still didnt work.. the 660 shows up just fine.. and i can set it up for plex.. but the m2000 is what i want to use

  11. The same way you added it.
If you have chosen the GPU in a VM you have to choose another GPU to remove the stubbing. Then reboot.

I have no vms, I’ve never used it for anything other than only gpu, It’s a used card, do I need to boot a windows system and remove all drivers from it? I only want it for plex transcode.
