The drivers are up to date if you are using the DVB Driver plugin and a recent Unraid version, I recommend at least Unraid 6.9.2

This plugin actually installs the driver.

I do currently have Unraid 6.9.2

when the Card locks up again I'll provide Diagnostics before the server restart and then one after.

Is there another way I should be running the Tuner for plex? I just used this app, it showed the 4 tuners on the card, Plex picked it up.

I think you only tried to implement ot in Plex or am I wrong?

Can you try if it‘s working in TVHeadend and stays there?

Plex can be a bit special when adding TV cards directly.

Your Diagnostics would also be very helpful after the TV card dropped.

    I will look into TVHeadend.

I've never had to provide Unraid diagnostics in the 2 years I've been running it so please bare with me when finding and attaching the right file.

I run Plex as a docker and only have the TV tuner for Plex.

I also was wonder if there is a way to check the Tuner card Firmware/driver and if it needed to be updated?

thanks for all your apps/dockers, you also provide many of my gaming server ones too!

This is a very strange behavior…

Can you please post your Diagnostigs before and after this happens?

How do you use the card on Unraid (TVHeadend - if you ise TVHeadend do you use the container or the plugin, Plex,…)?

    Plex, Live TV and DVR

  4. Hey all, thanks for the plug-in!

I picked up a Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD PCI Express TV Tuner Card 1609, it has worked great for 5 to 6 days at a time, it will stop working and I have to restart UnRaid in order for it to start working again for another 5 to 6 days. This has gone on for about 2 months now. Any idea if there is an update coming or if this is a known issue with this card? I like the card as it's a quad tuner and a low profile PCI-E card.

    Thank

It is impossible to know what is the best setting for you without knowing a lot more about the paths of the files and how you want files to be distributed.   Using the option you mention would definitely allow mover to get the files off the cache but it may end up splitting the contents of folders across more drives than you want.

Some users like to apply constraints that tend to keep the contents of folders at a given level on the same drive and set a Dplit Level that will achieve it for their particular folder/filename naming scheme.  However since you have set the Allocation Method to be “Most Free” maybe you are not concerned about that?

Prior to this screen shot i had it set to High water, i have a Plex share and 2 user shares that is personal media and docs.

Is there another setting that with allow it move to another disk? Disk 2 also has media folders that pertain to plex, this why im a bit lost on why it won't utilize that disk.

Yes, and as I said the Split Level setting you have on the share is prohibiting mover from trying any other drive as the target for moving the files off the cache.

the comment about moving files off disk1 is only relevant if you want to free up space on that disk.

What do you recommend the split level setting to be at "Automatically split any directory as required"?

  8. I have tried changing settings around and used mover a ton of times but the cache is holding onto 160GB of media files. It will fill up disk 1 then take what little data was put on disk 1 and stop. From what i understand its supposed to move to the next disk and fill it up and so on. Any help on this would be great, thanks!

Preclear should not have been affected by whatever activity was happening on other array drives.     However it is possible that some other factor (e.g. out-of-memory) happened that did affect it.

if you provide your system’s diagnostics zip file (obtained via Tools -> diagnostics) taken before any reboot then it might be possible to see if something relevant happened.

  10. New to Unraid (6 months) first post.

Im trying to figure out if my new 10TB drive failed do to defect or if its because the system was being tax? While Preclear was running i was also rebuilding a parity drive as well as had 4k content streaming locally. Is it possible that my failure was do to how much drive access was being requested and used. Preclear had been running for 12 hours and happened to fail during the local stream.

    Thank you!
