I think it is a RAID card so may not be passing commands through to the drives.
what output do you get for
sg_start --readonly --pc=3 /dev/sdc and
sdparm -C sense /dev/sdc
I forgot to say it is in HBA mode. I'll chheck what you say

HI!
I have installed this plugin in Unraid latest version and my SAS disks don't spin down. My hardware is HP Proliant DL380 G7 and the SAS controller P410i. Proccesor is Xeon L5640 with 72 Gigs RAM.
Logs:Dec 23 21:22:19 Proliant emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sdc Dec 23 21:22:19 Proliant SAS Assist v2022.08.02: Spinning down device /dev/sdc Dec 23 21:22:19 Proliant emhttpd: sdspin /dev/sdc down: 1
If I use the green circle at the left of the disks it gos with two arrows rounding ant 2 seconds after it puts green circle again.
No docker used, no shared, no VM's...
Do you know if is there any problem with this controller?

You don't need to patch the Kernel, this is what the plugin does.
Or what do you mean exactly?
I've installed th eplugin and then activated HBA mode on the controller, but I cannot see the siks yet... I'll give it a reboot

In general, yes and no.
I would recommend that you the readme from the repository which this plugin is based on over here.
You have to test if your specific controller is supported and is working with it.
Please read the readme carefully because it is also possible that you destroy your RAID controller or your data with this tool.
Thanks!
My controller is compatible and in the needed firmware vresion so I activated HBA mode. hpsahba -i shows that hba is activated.
The next step... patch kernel. How must I do it?
Thanks! -
Hi all!
I'm noob with unraid and now I have a HP Proliant DL380 G7. It has a P401i SAS raid controller that doesn't support HBA.
I've read a lot about hpsahba and patching kernel but now I've found this plugin.
Does this plugin all the work? I mean changing controller mode to HBA and pat hing the kernel? Will i need to do something else?
Thanks in advance.
