  1. Try putting your full email into the username instead of just the part before the @.

Also, you may want to redact the auth login stuff, it has your info in it, which is how I know you didn't put the @yahoo.com in your username. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx= into a base 64 decoder and you'll see what I mean.

    ooooops

    thanks...

    done....the same

  2. I'm not completely sure I understand your situation, but if you mean a data drive in an UnRAID array with parity protection, then just unassign the old drive and assign the new drive in its slot and start the array.  Let it rebuild the old drive onto the new drive, and it will be an exact copy of the old drive.  Why would you not want to replace?

    Thanks RobJ,

    I will go that way..

    it sound easy.. ;D

well it should be all done it 5 hours,17 minutes

    Thanks for that fast reply!

  3. OK this is not fun...

    Hello!

    what is the best way...

to replace an old drive, with a new one, and move the data from the old to the new ( 2TB)

the old one still good but is going down hill is (70%full) :'(

The problem is getting the data from the old drive,to the new one.!

    Mmmm...

There should be a better way of moving data ...from drive A to drive B

then replace A (old) with (B) new.

    ....needs more coffee . :-\

  5. In KVM mode, there might be a cpu scaling driver issue with certain hardware combinations.  One of those drivers is called Intel-Pstate.  This is the chosen driver if your Intel cpu is Sandy Bridge (2011) or newer.  On my Haswell-class cpu (i7-4771) the Intel-Pstate driver is too sensitive and seems to keep the cpu frequency near the max frequency even when idle but occasionally it does scale the frequency down.

You can disable the Intel-Pstate driver by editing your /boot/syslinux/syslinux.cfg and adding a intel_pstate=disable parameter to the append line below:

    ...

    label unRAID OS

      menu default

      kernel /bzimage

      append intel_pstate=disable initrd=/bzroot

    ...

Save the file, stop the array and reboot unRAID.  Doing this on my Haswell machine caused it to use the acpi-cpufreq scaling driver instead of the intel_pstate one.  It scales the frequency down like a rockstar now!  Usually keeps it around 800MHz - 1000MHz during idle now.

On the flip side, my other test machine, a year older Intel cpu (i5-3470) was able to scale down to 1600MHz (minimum) pretty consistently when using the intel_pstate driver... but when I disabled intel_pstate then there wasn't a scaling driver available.  For some reason the acpi-cpufreq driver wasn't compatible with this cpu.  Your mileage may very.

Give this a try and let me know if it helps you.  Either way, if it helped or not, let me know which cpu you tried with this command:

    grep -m 1 'model name' < /proc/cpuinfo

    Hi eschultz,

    Is working for me  ...

    CPU on the server is.. ((Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1270 v3 @ 3.50GHz))

The cpu was always around  (3500  3700MHz all the time)

    now with this,

is all the way down to 800MHz and the load is 50-54 watts

    Is all good!! 8) 8)

Mmm  let see what happens when the server is busy?

    Thanks you, eschultz

  6. sure it does.  Can you post a link to the one you tried?

I see this is in unraid v5.  You need to look in the v6 boards,  http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=34994.0

    Hi eroz

    This one

    https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dmacias72/unRAID_6.0/master/apcupsd_64.plg

    or these..

    Apcupsd-3.14.10-x86_64_3pb.plg

    Apcupsd-3.14.10-x86_64_rlw-dl.plg

    Apcupsd-3.14.12-x86_64_2pb.plg

with these, in setting all i see is a black screen

    thanks

  7. Still cannot tell from your posts whether you mean you move the files manually, or whether you mean mover works if you start it manually and it is the scheduled auto run of mover that does not work?

Mover certainly works fine for others so not sure what your problem might be.

    Hi  itimpi,

The scheduled auto run mover do not work.

    Its set for 8:00 pm.

The only way to get mover to work is manually.

And if the server is sleep...the same.

    Thanks

    //hellboy

  8. I would suggest that you include a syslog covering a period where mover is meant to be running.

Have you tried starting mover manually via the Settings->Shares tab?

manually is the only way that it work.

Aaaa I don't going to let that get to me,it will be done manually....and move on.

    Thanks..

  9. I don't see the "MOVER" moving anything... :'(

its set for 8:00 PM on every day.

UnRaid will not wake up to move those files from the cache drive.

If the server is up, still those file don't get move.

The only way is for me to move them manually.

Is that is the way it suppose to work?

Mmmm I probably I'm the only one having this small inconvenience.

    i check the forum,but and i don't see anything.

After all, I like UnRaid and DYNAMIX...great!! 8)

sorry if a made this too long.

but would like to get this to work.! if not...well manually will do for now.

  10. The Micro kingstons  (brown) are blacklisted they do not have unique GUID's.

The Kingston Mobile Lite G3's have some that are blacklisted and some that are not.

I've purchased 4 of them all unique GUID's. Other members have said theirs were blacklisted.

The Mobile Lite G4 remains to be seen.

    Hi WeeboTech,

    Thanks...for you fast response.

  11. Hey Hellboy,

I'm not sure, but probably it is safe.

Primarily the tester is just running a parity check from the command line, so that should be safe regardless of what version is running.

The memory parameters that are being adjusted between runs simply affect how much memory is allocated to the process, and should be okay to tweak unless Tom has made changes to these tunables.  In fact, with v6 being 64 bit, you may be able to push these numbers much higher than ever before.  Worst case, you're still just running a non-correcting parity check, so if something happens your data shouldn't be modified.

All that said, let me be clear, I am still on v5.  I only have my one production box, and I don't run beta software on it.  I have not tested this tool on v6.anything, though I think other users in here have done so.

And since you are asking if this is safe to run on 6b10a, my gut is telling me you are running beta on a production box with data you actually care about, something I don't advise, and in that case I really wouldn't advise running this tool either.

If you end up running it, be sure to share your results!

    Ok...

    This what i got......

    I will let you know

  13. Unused memory is useless. There's is nothing wrong with using all memory.

However your server getting unresponsive may be an issue from large cookies and how emhttp is incapable off dealing with them.

    All is going good .....

but when it gets to 99% all go to crap.

There is no way to set a limit? let say 20 mb or so... >:(

    //

  14. I'm having an issue with UNRAID 6B 10a with Dynamix gui.

Issue is that there is 32 MB of memory on the UNRAID SERVER is taken 99%.

The server gets unresponsive ..very slowwww, it freeze.. and the only way to get in is  to telnet . :'(

I know the is BETA but...

there must be a way to stop it from taken all 32MB of memory.!?

NOTE: This only happen when doing a back Up from the Multimedia to the UNraid server.

and ,dynamix.cache.dirs-3.0.0-x86_64 is not install at this time, but the same happen when it is.

    Thanks//

Can you please outline which steps you took to get it working ? I would be VERY keen to have a play.

    Same here..

And still working,no problems, well I was having some problem with "APCUPSD"

but i install this one  (apcupsd_64.plg ) and is working fine on a  (APC)
