Shutdown without spinning up discs in General Support Posted July 20, 2021 Hi, when my unraid system is shutting itself down (e.g. after a certain time of inactivity) it first spins up every disc one after another. I would like to know if there is any way to shutdown the system without spinning up the discs? It is quite loud and unnecessary strain on longevitiy. Since I have the system in my living room and only boot it up to watch a movie ~once a week, it doesn't make much sense to me to keep it running. Thank you!

Hi,
