Upgraded the plex server to the latest version and now the plex server is randomnly stopping itself. Been running it for over a year with no issues. Is there a way to downgrade to the previous version?
-
Just upgraded to the 6.1.3 from beta 10 and when I click on the plex from the settings page nothing comes up. Before a page would come up and let me set all of the plex settings but now I get nothing. Any idea?

Never mind I got it. Thanks for the great work Phaze.

When I right click and chose save file as, should it be a text document?
When I go to install I get:
/usr/local/sbin/plugin install installplg /boot/config/plugins/plexmediaserver.64bit.plg 2>&1
plugin: installing: installplg
Warning: simplexml_load_file(): I/O warning : failed to load external entity "" in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/plgMan/plugin on line 165
plugin: xml parse error
I had this problem when I first tried to install an older version and I forgot what I did to get it to work. I tried downloading from 2 different computers.
I did just try the update button on the settings page and it wouldn't work.

So unless I upgrade to beta 12 I can't upgrade plex? Is that correct?

I've installed Phaze's plex. It does run but on reboot plex forgets all the folders. On the plex settings page in the unraid menu there are 3 directory areas to fill in. The first directory says install directory the second is config/library directory and the last one is transcode directory. What am I supposed to put in those? I did create a share called apps and put plex under it on disk1.

Trying to install plex on new install. Downloaded the one for 6.0 which is the unraid version I am using. when I go to install I get this:
/usr/local/sbin/plugin install installplg /boot/config/plugins/plexmediaserver.64bit.plg 2>&1
plugin: installing: installplg
Warning: simplexml_load_file(): I/O warning : failed to load external entity "" in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/plgMan/plugin on line 165
plugin: xml parse error
Don't know what I am doing wrong. trying to install from plugin page on unraid menu.

It started working on its own after finishing one of the steps. Must of run out of memory. I used this :preclear_disk.sh -r 65536 -w 65536 -b 2000 -A /dev/sdX, which was recommended in the configuration tutorial. I'll use yours next time. Thanks.

I just setup my unraid box. I am in the process of doing a preclear on my drives. It is currently on step 2. I was able to log into the server using the web browser on a different computer last night with no issues. Tried this morning and I can't. It never connects. Rebooted the router and still nothing. The ethernet port on the server is lit. I can go to network places on my computer and see the flash drive on the server so I know I have a connection. I tried using my server name which I changed and tried the ip address and it will not connect. This is a new build using an asus h87i-plus. Should I be able to access the server during the preclear? Any ideas?

So I am trying to upgrade from 6.1.3 to current to 6.5.3 and installed the fix problems plugin. When I hit the scan button it freezes and I have to do a shutdown to get back to the webgui. This is the error in the log unable to connect to unix:///var/run/docker.sock (No such file or directory) in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php on line 490. I want to run this before trying the update. I am still using the phaze plugin for plex and need to start using the Docker instead and need to upgrade.
