Just going to put this here with what I have tried so far :
Unraid 6.9.0 beta-35 - Plex docker version 1.20.4.3517 - Nvidia Driver 4.55.38 (card Quadro P400)
As soon as hardware transcoding starts it bombs with :
An unknown error occurred (4294967283)
Error code: 4294967283Also built a VM and passed through card, installed Nvidia drivers 455.38 and get the same error!
Installed Jellyfin Docker to test : HW transcoding works with no issues.
Rolled back to Unraid 6.8.3 and installed the prebuilt kernel with Nvidia drivers version 450.66 from :
Plex docker now transcodes with no issues at all!
I have been back and forth and no idea what is going on but it is 100% replicable. Guess I am staying on this version for a while.

What version of the Plex server are you on?
I did not change anything from what the docker pulled so in this case it is : / Version 1.20.4.3517

Did you make sure to reboot you server after installing Nvidia drivers?
Yes definitely rebooted after driver install, and h/w encoding works fine in the Jellyfin docker. Just in the plex one it fails with the error above.

Hi,
I am having an issue getting Nvidia enc / dec working with the latest Beta.
I am running 6.9.0 beta-35 and the linuxserver.io plex docker. Nvidia driver package is loaded and showing version 455.38 (card is a Quadro P400)
When turning on hardware transcode it bombs with :
An unknown error occurred (4294967283)
Error code: 4294967283If you click retry sometimes it encodes 5 seconds or so of video and then drops right out!
Doing a "watch nvidia-smi" shows plex firing up the process then it going away!
I have also tried firing up a Jellyfin Docker and hw Transcode is working fine in that!
Any ideas are appreciated!

Was just trying that before you spoke - yes I can disable the shares in workgroup mode - then changed back to domain SMB and all works and the disk shares are still disabled - thanks!
Yes looks like a bug.
-
Yes SMB is on - some more fiddling and I can see the difference.
My (working) B12 has SMB in workgroup mode.
As the new B14 key allows AD integration and I have a domain I was using SMB in domain mode - as soon as I use domain based SMB the tab and ability to turn off the disk based shares goes away.
I have changed to workgroup SMB mode and the tab reappears....
I would really rather use domain based SMB though and disable the disk shares!

I did indeed have non tabbed selected (this was a new build I did not change it)
If I change to tabbed the tabs appear..... but only 2 of them I get the Device settings & Health Tab but still no SMB Share tab!

How do I disable Disk shares in B14b?
I have 1 array running B12 - on this I click main > then the Disk and there are 3 clear tabs
Device Settings , Health and SMB Security Settings where I can disable the shares.
On B14 I go to the same place and see the Device Settings and health on 1 page and no SMB settings anywhere?

I have been having the same issue with a P400 for a long time. Just like you it works fine in Tdarr / emby but fails in plex with errors like yours.
Clearing the cache "fixes" the issue, but I use the windows client regularly and it breaks again for everything within a few plays!
Please post if you find anything!
