  1. That's the strangest thing.  I disconnected one of the redundant SAS cables from the R720xd to the MD1200 and rebooted the system (I pulled diagnostics first just in case).  When it came back up, the normal menu option to enter the encryption key was present and it let me proceed.  That's super odd that everything was working fine with no issues in 6.8.3 but not in 6.9.0.  I can attach the diagnostics if you feel they would be useful.

    Thanks for your help in getting the problem figured out and my system working again!

  2. I'm not sure if this is related to the problem as well or not, but Unassigned Devices is continuously updating.  Sometimes it will show no devices.  Sometimes it will show 2, other times it will show more.  It's changing about every 10-15 seconds.

    I've used my unRAID array in the past to preclear other drives that I've inherited to wipe any data off of them, so I don't know if this is something with Linux related to that which is causing the issue or if it has nothing to do with the problem whatsoever.

  3. I still haven't been able to start my array.  I've tried logging in from different computers to see if it was just a display issue in the browser and there's no difference.

    Does anyone know of any other location to input the encryption key if not through the usual place in the UI?  I've looked all throughout the system to try to find someone else and didn't see any, but perhaps there's something somewhere that I'm just not aware of to do it.  Any advice or help that someone could provide ASAP would be greatly appreciated otherwise I'll have to roll back to 6.8.3 again until some future build where it's hopefully fixed.

  4. Perhaps you could try to use the iDRAC and the update ISO to update your server first.  You can attach the ISO and it will run through and update BIOS, drivers, etc. on your system.  If it's a BIOS issue causing your problem, the update should fix that, then you could try your USB stick again to boot unRaid.

  5. I'm trying to use radarrsync.  I set it up yesterday and it synced part of the entries between the two instances, then it threw this error message and hasn't done anything since:

    File "/RadarrSync.py", line 86, in <module>
    searchid.append(int(r.json()['id']))
    TypeError: list indices must be integers or slices, not str

    Can anyone shed any light as to what is causing this issue and how it can be resolved?

    Thanks in advance

  6. Greetings,

    I received an email overnight indicating that Machine Check Events have been detected on my server.  Some quick research through other forums leads me to believe there may be an issue with some RAM in my server.  I'm not all that familiar with the diagnostics to be able to figure out which stick of RAM may be at fault or even if that's the issue.  I'm running version 6.7.2 currently.  Any insight or advice as to how to track down what the cause it would be greatly appreciated.

  7. I've been travelling a bunch for both work and personal reasons, so I want to apologize in advance that I didn't get a chance to address this sooner.

    From what I've been able to gather, none of my automatic jobs (parity check, move files from cache to disk, update dockers, etc.) have been running since early November.  When I look in the log file, I see a "shfs: share cache full" error message that is there repeatedly and quite frequently.  I've tried reading some other posts and trying to adjust some settings to resolve the issue when I've had some time, but the problem still persists and I'm afraid that I may be making things worse instead of better.

    Your help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

  8. My unRAID system has been working fine, but then yesterday I added a SAS card to my Dell R710 server as well connected a Dell Powervault MD1200 storage array.  At this point, the storage array is empty buy powered on and connected.  I'm wondering if my error is related to one of those two changes.  I tried to look through the diagnostics myself prior to posting and didn't see anything that jumped out at me.  However, it was the first time I've ever looked at them and I very easily could be looking at the wrong place or searching for the wrong terms.  I'm hoping that someone here with much more knowledge and experience looking through the diagnostics logs will be kind enough to look through my diagnostics and shed some light on what I'm missing.
