You can use the mv or cp command in a telnet session

Thank you erikatcuse, that is great. Now if there is a way to run a batch of transfers, I will be very happy.
THanks,

OK, this is going to show my ignorance here, but I have to ask.
I want to transfer my movie files from the USB drive, which is mounted to unraid, to the array. I can explore the two shared drives on windows XP and transfer that way, but is there a way to telnet in and transfer them directly with in the machine?
Again, thanks for any help.

or... download and install unmenu. It has the ability to mount and share USB drives built in.

Hi All,
I have an external usb drive that I used for all my divx files and would like to connect it to the unraid tower to transfer them over to the array. Is this possible? I know I can go through the network, but I figure it will go faster this way.
Thanks for any advice,
DK
Install two unraid machines on same network

Hello, I am very new here and have recently been fearing that I am going to be in a bit of trouble.
I have a 5 drive unit and it is full of 1.5tb drives. The thing is full of about 4TB of data. My fear is that I am going to lose something big here. What I would like to do is make an exact duplicate of what I have now on another unraid box on the same network.
My thought is that I can't have two "Tower" machines without some sort of conflict.
Thanks in advance for any help.
