  1. I use Aquiss, which provide both Openreach and CityFibre packages with static IPs as standard. Excellent customer service, to the point that the owner got in touch with me within 5 minutes after a misconfiguration on my part led to an outage to help me fix the issue. Prices are fair, and no annual RPI increases either, which is what ultimately got me to leave BT.

I'd also recommend you check out ISPreview as it is a great resource for UK ISP related stuff.

I've found a change in RC7 which maybe causes this, already contacted Tom about that.

The changes in rc8 say: "Fix regression error in rc.S: must install third-party drivers before first invocation of udev.". I assume this is related?

First of, thank you for your hard work. Was wondering if I could have some help please? When I run the backup, everything gets backed up apart from binhex-plexpass? watching the backup logs as backing up. It says binhex-plexpass does not have any volume to backup! Skipping?

I have everything default from installing plugin, apart choosing Backup destination

I think the plugin ignores any volumes mapped outside of /mnt/user/appdata, so if your plex volume is mounted somewhere else, this may be why?

  4. I followed the instructions in the post, but did not add the script at the end and it survives a reboot just fine without the need to modify the go script.

EDIT: My interface name was "tailscale1", rather than 0 as in the instructions.

  5. Would it be possible to add an option to pass gzip arguments such as --rsyncable (for smaller rsync deltas)? I'm guessing using something like the following for tar:

    -I 'gzip ARGS'

Can probably achieve this with a post-script anyway, but would be nice to have this integrated.
