  1. As the subject says, I try to do a http://192.168.0.13/login or a http://FRED/login (both using http and https) and I get the following:

Hmmm… can't reach this page192.168.0.13 took too long to respond
    Try:

    Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
    Running Windows Network Diagnostics
    ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

Diagnostics say I'm correctly configured but the resource is not responding.

Pinging replies with Reply from 192.168.0.12: Destination host unreachable. Packets sent= 4, Received = 4 Lost = 0

NOTE I'm pinging 13 and getting reply from 12. I don't understand this.

    Can you please assist?

  2. I'm copying some files now, but once done I can do that,

On a side note, I'm finally able to access the logon screen by typing

http://198.162.0.13/login   It just started working all of a sudden. I don't know why

    http://fred/login

    https://fred/login

    http://192.168.0.13/login

    https://192.168.0.13/login

    https://192.168.0.13

or any of the others still don't work. I'm at a loss to explain any of this.

  3.

    http://192.168.0.13 yields the following result.

    Hmmm… can't reach this page

    192.168.0.13 refused to connect.

    Try:

    Checking the connection

Checking the proxy and the firewall

    ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

    Hide details

    Check your Internet connection

Check your network cables, modem, and routers.

Allow Microsoft Edge to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings.

If it's already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list, and adding it again.

If you use a proxy server:

Check your proxy settings. You might need to ask your organization if the proxy server is working. If you don't think you should be using a proxy server, go to Settings > System > Open your computer's proxy settings

  4. Omitting "login" yields the same result.

I just want to make sure I'm clear about the problem.

    • I am able to access the contents/file system of the server of the server.
    • I am not able to connect to the server via login so that I can access the dashboard and perform system administrative and housekeeping functions. (parity checking, updating packages, etc)

  5. I enter in http://fred/login

    I get the following...

         Hmmm… can't reach this page

Check if there is a typo in fred.

         Search Bing for fred

If spelling is correct, try running Windows Network Diagnostics.

         DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

It seems to recognize "fred" (the name of the server) but not login. (I've also tried logon)

I have a bookmark for this that used to work. but no longer.

  6. Hoping somebody can help me out here.

I can reach my unRaid files by a link to the contents, but I can't access the login screen to perform housekeeping chores and activities.

I'm accessing it via the url bar: <server_name>/login

    All I get is:

    Hmmm… can't reach this page

Check if there is a typo in fred.

If spelling is correct, try running Windows Network Diagnostics.

    DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

I've tried changing settings but I'm not having any luck. Can anybody help?

Yes, as long as the flash is formatted FAT32.   In practise you can also create a new flash drive and simply copy across the 'config' folder from the backup as the 'config' folder contains all your settings and licence.

If this flash drive is new then make sure the flash is labelled UNRAID and then run the make_bootable.bat file from the flash in Administrator mode.

Yes - it is part of the 'config' folder.

If it is a new flash drive then Unraid will take you through the Licence transfer process on next boot.

This particular USB is not new, however I do Have a new USB available. I had planned to use both as backups.

The USB IS labeled "UNRAID", (not sure about capitalization)

Where do I find "make_bootable.bat" and when do I run it? Before or after I unzip onto the USB?

  8. OK, So I run the "Flash Backup" from the "Boot Device" menu of the "Main" tab...

That downloaded a zip-file of the name <name-flash-backup-20210831-0145> in my downloads directory on my Win10PC...

    1) Am I now supposed to use the "Extract files..." option and select my 32GB zip drive to unzip that file onto the USB?

    2) Is that all there is to it?

    3) Does this also transfer my license? If not, what else do I have to do to accomplish this step?

    Thank you

  9. This question has 3 parts,...

    1) I have UnRaid set to run parity checks once a m0onth on the first day of the month. So why is it running parity checks more often than that? )sometimes every several days)

    2) If I want to set my UnRaid to run parity checks on a quarterly basis on the first Sunday of the month (ie. Jan 1, Apr 1, July1, Oct 1) How would I adjust the settings? When I tried that it wound up doing it on the first Sunday of the month, every month.

    3) When I load files onto my UnRaid server is the parity adjusted on my two parity drives at the same time?

    I appreciate the help..
