Unraid slowing down entire network when downloading torrents

Featured Replies

Hi all (merry xmas and a happy new year :),

So i've been having this problem for a while now and i've tried basically anything to fix it. Whenever i download a torrent, it slows down my entire network, including unraid itself. My speeds are 500mb/s down and 40 mb/s up (megabits). but when i torrent with any other device on my network through the same vpn (my own vpn), everything works perfectly like expected.

I have already tried 3 different routers but issue still consists, also tried other networking cards but that also didn't work. custom docker networks, different ports, SNAT and DNAT routing on my vpn. I'm at a loss of what to do, I've tried multiple images of qbittorrent and deluge.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! If i didn't provide enough information, feel free to ask for more!

do you use any limits for throughput on unraid torrents?

No, i have tried with and without but issue persists

so that could mean you have the saturation caused by wrong ethernet connectivity to the unraid box or NIC driver issues. replace cables/port
