VM won't start .....

Hello,

 

One of my vm won't start ... i have this error ?

 

Cannot access storage file '/mnt/user/domains/DevOps/vdisk1.snap' (as uid:0, gid:100): No such file or directory

 

It's my devops server, i have a back done with "VM Backup" plugin but i don't understand how to restore the backup ...

There is only this in log file when i try to start the vm :

 

 

2021-02-08 20:35:13.686+0000: shutting down, reason=failed
2021-02-08 20:37:49.311+0000: shutting down, reason=failed

 

Could somebody help me ?

i found a working solution, disk was set manually on "vdisk1.snap", in auto mode it's working .... VM has started ^^ 

  • 4 months later...

Could you explain me the steps of how you did it ?, I have the same problem a VM (LinuxMint) doesn't want to start anymore giving me this error "shutting down, reason = failed"

I just faced the same error for my Debian VM. Could you please explain in more details how to solve the problem?

update: I found the solution. I have to edit my vm and change the Primary vDisk location from manual to auto.
