March 14, 20215 yr First time installing UnRAID (still on trial period) and I'm excited about this journey, but I'm having really bad issues with SMB (I'm guessing). I've banged my head against the wall for a whole week trying to get this to work, trying every trick I could find in the forums. Setup Info: -Windows 10 Pro version 20H2 build 19042.867, accesses with gigabit ethernet through a switch (5 port Netgear GS605) directly to NAS -Macbook Pro 15” ver 11.2.2, accesses through wifi router (TP-Link Archer C9) to Netgear switch to NAS. -UnRAID version 6.9.1 (diagnostics attached) Problem/Sypmtoms: Access to NAS on Windows machine stopped working after transferring 3.5TB of data. No update or other noticeable event caused it. After transfer ended, I couldn't access the NAS folders anymore. Hangs in Windows Explorer when accessing either mapped drive or using network dropdown. All computers on my network can see the NAS, the shares, and usually the first level of folders. Attempts to do more will hang Windows Explorer for minutes, and sometimes crash Windows (Explorer crashes and won't restart). Can’t access UnRAID Dashboard in browser or access Plex on Windows machine. Macbook can access all data (albeit folder loads can be slow at times), access UnRAID Dashboard, and access Plex. I can also ping the NAS directly from the WIndows machine. IP addresses are (DHCP on auto): .104 - NAS .102 - Windows Machine .106 - Macbook Pro Attempted Solutions: -Made sure WORKGROUP name matches on windows and UnRAID server, all caps -UnRAID server has NetBIOS and WSD enabled, is set as local master (verified by Dynamix Local Master) -CONTROL PANEL: Advanced Sharing Settings are good -GPEDIT: Installed gpedit on Windows 10 Home. Used gpedit.msc to change Enable insecure guest logons AND Disable the Microsoft Network client: Digitally sign communications(always) -REGISTRY EDIT: Used regedit to set AllowInsecureGuestAuth to 1, new key created (DWORD) -PRIVATE SHARES: Set user shares to private and added new user on NAS, created new windows user with same name and pass -SMB1.0: Using Control Panel (Turn Windows Features On/Off) enabled SMB1.0 -WINDOWS CREDS: tried clearing windows credentials manually in -WINS Enable NetBIOS: Enabled NetBIOS over TCP/IP in Advanced TCP/IP Settings Thanks so much in advance for the help. I have over 10TB more to get on there and this is a big hiccup (for my small business). jgnas-diagnostics-20210314-1614.zip Edited March 15, 20215 yr by gh_knife upgraded from Home to Pro while writing the post
