Featured Replies

ASUS M2NPV-VM been running for couple months now the i updated to 4.1 been running ok for 3 wks the one saturday evening i power down my server, the next morning tried to start my unraid server it gets stuck mounting one 750gb harddrive my drive 2, web freezes and console to becomes unresponse i have to do a hard reboot., please help.  But if i removed the 750gb array becomes online but if i include the 750gb it freezes if i start the array.

Probably you harddrive is broken. Atleast with IDE if drive is bad it can't make system crawl depending how it's broken. Haven't had any bad sata drives myself but i bet same thing applies.

Tested harddrive using wd diagnostic tool its okay, I tried several combination it gets to mounting but after few minutes its freezes no web or console.

Did you test it in the same machine with same hardware? Maybe it's your power that's not giving enough juice?

The next thing I would try is reiserfsck on that drive.

A Wiki link for using reiserfsck on an unRAID drive is:  http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Check_Disk_Filesystems.  It will specify what you need after its first run.  If you search the forum for reiserfsck, you will find a few other threads also.
