February 28, 201115 yr I have been airing this prob a bit in another thread. I don't want to spam that thread anymore now, so now I am here. I just installed unRAID 5.0 beta5a and unMENU 1.3.7.1 this morning, and have been in deep from the beginning. I have tried to download packages (e.g. screen, md5deep and gcc) with poor results. If I use wget to download everything is fine. When I get the files down another way, unMENU finds them and accepts the checksums. Screen installed ok after this workaround. Now I have done the same with GCC (need it for md5deep). I got unMENU to accept the files dled with wget, and clicked install. It has been half an hour with no visible results since then. (Before wgeting those files I killed the unMENU process to stop the "hung" download process, and started it again). The problem might be that thw AWK is processing very slowly, and timing out in the network because of that. I just got through the install of gcc now. It took an awful lot of time on a 4GB core i3. I guess 30-45 minutes. Is that normal? /Lars Olof
March 7, 201115 yr Author Hey, Joe! Just made a clean install of b6a and unMenu 1371 on my gear again, and still get the same problem we discussed earlier (with b5a and 1371), with not being able to DL packages from unMenu. It works just fine when I jump to the console and dl the links from package description with wget (if I delete the truncated dl first). Is there anything I can do to diagnose this for you to improve unMenu? The network connectivity seems just fine, as I can pull down the files with wget from command line. Maybe just confirm my files with some md5 sums or so (if I have a filesystem or download corruption). Any ideas? /Lars Olof
