SATA drive isn't seen

Beginner here.  I'm trying to evaluate unRAID using spare parts I have.

 

Network works and 2 (max) IDE drives, but not sata.  The board is a foxconn g965 which has a ICH8R southbridge. 

 

Is this a lost cause?
