4.2 and /mnt/user problem

Featured Replies

Under here seems to be mounted user shares. Problem is that if i move something to another share in console like mv /mnt/user/Share1/MyDirectory /mnt/user/Share2 MyDirectory shows as empty until i reboot unRaid server. Would be by chance to make these mounted user share directories work like normal directories and maybe add something like Midnight Commander for easy copying from console? Not i have to copy file from one share to another over network feels really stupid to me :)

And include console program called 'screen' so i can detach from telnet sessions while midnight commander is copying files :)

I thought of a workaround for those /mnt/user directories. Using smbmount to mount \\tower\MyShare to directory in unRAID server.

Filemanager should be something that has copy&move queue. Haven't used midning commander before so i'm not sure it's has one.

Scratch that i installed Midnight Commander and Screen from Slackware packages and installing those packages are now in my go script. I've now used those /mnt/user directories without problem. Wierd coz when i did that before if i moved something from one user share to another and after that when't with my windows machine to that moved dir it would show empty...go figure anyway now it works. Maybe bug in user directories or with me?

Are user directories implemented so that i can use /mnt/user/ShareName directories directly? I mean copy & move files from user directory to another or am i messing with something i shouldn't? :)
