November 27, 20214 yr Hey all, was looking for some input from the community. Currently I'm running unraid on a QNAP NAS but I was thinking of just moving it to my desktop. The desktop is a first or second gen Ryzen 5 chip and it runs Windows. Most of the time it's just mining some eth on the RTX2060 that is in there but I also sometimes use it for gaming and VR. So here's the main question. I know Windows in an unraid vm will still do everything just fine. The issue is right now that desktop PC is beside my TV so that I can run the VR in the living room and can play other games using a PS4 controller. If I were to convert it to unraid I wouldn't want to keep it in the living room anymore but rather off in my little IT closet. We have a young kiddo so keeping the NAS out of reach is a good idea Is there some way to still be able to pull this off? I guess the best thing would be to have some dumb terminal beside the TV that I could plug my BT dongle and the VR headset into.
