Newbie user. Just set up Unraid yesterday.  Thought it was going well, but after I installed and ran the FCP plugin I got the message in the title.  I've attached my diagnostics.  Looks like some sort of Samba issue.  These two lines along with timestamps are repeating over and over in the syslog:

create_canon_ace_lists: unable to map SID S-1-5-21-2016052269-2725693392-48536299-1116 to uid or gid.

../../source3/smbd/posix_acls.c:2115(create_canon_ace_lists)

I am currently restoring backed up files from Idrive to the server array.  I am using a Win10 desktop that is running the Idrive Windows app to restore the files to the Unraid shares that I have mapped through Windows.

I previously used Win Server 2012 Essentials, but after 10 years it was time to find a more up to date solution so I decommissioned it.  If relevant or helpful, I took my desktop off the domain and joined it to a workgroup before setting up the Unraid server.

Happy to provide any additional relevant info.

Any help or insight is very much appreciated!

Ok, so I did a little more research and confirmed this is definitely the result of the file restores I am doing with the Idrive Windows client on my Win10 Pro Desktop. I rebooted Unraid (v.6.9.2) this morning and all was fine.  I started another restore and the lines started filling the log again.

I guess my question is - is this something indicative of a bigger underlying problem or should I just disregard it since I won't regularly be restoring files in this way?  I'm just worried that there is some underlying networking issue or rouge Win10 settings that will cause future issues.

Thanks in advance for any insights from all the grizzled Unraid veterans out there!
