Pinch
Hey all I have no idea where to start the search for an answer to this, so just a quick question: I have some weird files showing up when I access //TOWER/flash; 20+ randomly named files (fx. '_Z46UF~Z' - no extension), all varying in size, from 25MB to 4GB, with their creation date anywhere from the year 1983 to 2020. They all amnount to about 44GB. My flash drive is 4GB. Anyone know what's going on? Link to comment
RobJ
I don't recognize that file name pattern at all, but obviously there is file system corruption here, so I would shut down your server, pull the flash drive, and insert it in a clean, uninfected Windows workstation, and Check Disk it. Then you should scan it with an updated virus checker. If clean, you should be able then to delete anything unwanted from it. Link to comment
Pinch
Hi RobJ Thanks for your reply. Check Disk apparently fixed it; a simple reboot og unRAID didn't help, but after running chkdsk, and it doing... something, all was well - thank you! Link to comment
