Loss of AFP Credentials on network failure

Featured Replies

I've had issues with my Macbook pro losing AFP write permissions during the evening. I can reproduce it this way.

Have AFP share open, reboot wireless router, AFP gets disconnected and laptop will reconnect to AFP as 'guest'. Rebooting the laptop will resolve the issue. I had my router set to reboot nightly at 3 am, so this explains the loss of write permissions. I haven't tried this on extended sleep, but will this evening.

I've also experienced times where rebooting the laptop doesn't fix it - but have yet to reproduce.

Logfile - see where it shows two connections with identical boot time, not sure if this is related or not.

OSX 10.6.7, wireless connection through DD-WRT based router.
