June 1, 201115 yr Howdy! First time poster. Looking into building a unRAID server for my media library. I was wondering if any one has experience using with RocketRAID 2760 and unRAID? This 24-drive (via 6 internal SFF8087) card seems attractive to leverage all bays in a Norco 4224 case with a single card within a PCIE x16 (Gen2) Interface (even thought only 22 drives are supported at the moment). Its unclear if the card would be compatible. Thanks in advance ... Giaour
June 1, 201115 yr I'm not sure if the card is compatible. However, I am sure that it is VERY expensive. Why spend that much on a single card? You could get two or three Supermicro SASLP cards and achieve the same goal, and the system would be just as fast.
June 4, 201115 yr Author The uncertainty of the card's compatibility negates it as a viable option regardless of the price. Rather have two or three AOC-USAS2-L8e / AOC-SASLP-MV8 that should work. Thanks
