SABNZB Maxing CPU + EXTREMLY Slow Repair

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I recently started downloading 4K HDR content for my server. I'm having an issue where when something repairs, it takes an extremely long time and maxes out my CPU while it does it. For example, I have something repairing as we speak, is at 19% and has an estimated completion time of 1hr and 9 minutes. While it does it, my CPU is maxed out. I get 4kHDR content is rough on machines but it can't be this bad for just downloading??

RIG:
CPU: i5 3570k (No OC)

RAM: 16GB
CACHE:  Samsung 860 EVO 500GB
GPU: GTX760

NZB download and final destination is on the same share for atomic linking as well if that's important.

I tried looking through diagnostics myself but didn't see any errors or anything that screamed a problem to me. I looked at the Htop command and as you can see the movie, which is currently repairing, is using an outrageous amount of CPU. Is this normal for such an outdated CPU?

Any other info y'all need then feel free to ask and I'll get it to you.

EDIT:

So, I may have figured it out. If I cap my download speed to about 30mbps then my CPU usage drops like a rock. I think maybe my CPU is having a hard time keeping up with the download speed so it's freaking out?
