Treytor
I'm running unraid 5.0 beta 7 and my quick crappy math tells me that something is amiss when it comes to my array's total capacity. My quick and dirty math tells me my array should be more around 24-25 TB, not 21.8. I know actual drive size is less than advertised / reported. But is this normal? Thanks! System log is attached. syslog.txt Link to comment
Treytor
Upon closer inspection, I don't think anything is amiss. My math really is crappy. Nothing to see here sorry, move along! Link to comment
SSD
Your drives are crazy hot. You need to add cooling. Drives should not go much above 40C. You have 6 drives 50C or hotter. Link to comment
Treytor
Yeah I noticed that as well. Turns out 2/3 of my 120mm HDD fans weren't spinning. The splitter they were on came unplugged. Whoops! My array rarely has all drives spinning at once anyway, so they rarely do go above 40 anyway. Nice looking out, thanks! Link to comment
