October 9, 20223 yr Would the below hardware be good for a new unraid build? Will be running a windows vm , 2-3 plex users , Home Assistent and docker apps. This build should be power efficient small and upgradable. If someone could give some advice that would be great. Thanks. https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/Tg6JTn 1x Intel Core i5-12500 3 GHz 6-Core Processor 1x ASRock Z690M-ITX/ax Mini ITX LGA1700 Motherboard 1x Patriot Viper 4 Blackout 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory 3x Seagate Exos X18 18 TB 3.5" 7200 RPM Internal Hard Drive 1x Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive 1x Jonsbo N1 Mini ITX Desktop Case 1x Corsair SF600 600 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply
October 9, 20223 yr I’m looking in to a new build to using the i5-12500. I see you did not go for ECC memory? I would like to have it but the motherboards supporting it are limited at the moment.
September 1, 20232 yr Did you ended up building it? I'm thinking in a similar setup, did u face any issue? like driver incompatibility?

Since I never got a response I'm gonna reply myself, I ended up building this: 1 x JONSBO N1 Mini-ITX NAS Chassis 1 x Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD 2TB 1 x Intel Core i5-12400 1 x EVGA SuperNOVA 650 GM 2 x G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series DDR4 RAM 16GB 1 x ASRock Z690M-ITX/ax 4 x Seagate IronWolf Pro 16TB ST16000NTA01 its working fine so far, 2.5GbE port works fine(i was worried about it). There are a little high temps on SSD but nothing to worry about (still need to mount heat sink on M2)
