July 9, 200619 yr Tom, Great to have you back at the helm. Any ETA on SATA SMART function? Are you going with the next linux kernel for this or can we expect a revision to the current version, like yesterdays bug fix? generally speaking when is the next feature revision and what features are going to be added? Thanks, Alex
July 14, 200619 yr SATA w. SMART would be neat. A server that doesn't bog down when more than one thing is happening (read/write performance) would be even better, IMHO
July 14, 200619 yr Author Yes you're right of course. What I was getting at, and I'll spell it out, the need to: 1. Identify [itemized] updates, including bug fixes and feature sets 2. Schedule for deployment. Customers need to be kept informed, or there will eventually be no customers. I like the idea of the product, I like Tom, but quite a number of us, I'd wager, bought the Unraid system, with the promiss of having comparable SATA functionality to the existing PATA. just sayin...
August 9, 200619 yr Author Tom, So when are we getting proper SATA support? It's been a while since you gave us an update.... Thanks, Alex
