March 28, 20233 yr Hello one and all just need some advice I have read a lot on Unraid forums regarding the implementation of SSD Cache 2 X 2 TB. This will be a depository for my media files and nothing else. Question as I will be transferring large files involving file values of between 50 to 75Gb per file I would have roughly 44 files in total and numerous other file of varying sizes will I see a benefit using this SSD Cache for my particular setup another thing how do I set this SSD Cache up do I associate it with the share folder specifically and nothing else or can the same ssd be shared amongst other files. If someone could give me a hint I will figure the rest. I just need to know if it is beneficial, I intend to use a 10Gb ethernet PCIE card, with direct connection between pc and server for my file backups. I ended up going with the fractal node 804 pc case, to keep it small and neat don't really want another tower case taking a lot of room so 10 Hard drive X 18TB per disc gives me roughly 130tb with two drives dedicated to parity. Though I will start with only 4 drives and grow it over time as and when I run out of space. I was also glad I was able to log in as things have change since I last visited, I got my account back, thank god for that. Thank you all.
